What does a nutrition student buy from the grocery store?
Hello everybody! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Things are certainly kicking up a notch as we barrel into the last five weeks of the semester. It’s unbelievable really. After this semester I’ll be half way through my DPD requirements which is crazy!
Hello again! I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for winter to be over. Luckily in the Northeast US we seem to be having a bit of a break in the weather (except for today apparently…) as we hit the just-over-halfway part of March. Time is sure flying, but you know what that means: summer is on its way! And with summer on its way, you know what that means.

Hello everybody! I hope wherever you are you’re making it through the winter blues. For those of us in the Northeast U.S. this winter has been brutal and I’m sure I’m not the only one loving the taste of spring we’ve had. Hopefully it sticks around for the long haul!

What is this gut bacteria stuff really all about?
Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I know I’m significantly happier now that midterms are over and I’m home for spring break 🙂
Last week I had the opportunity to attend my college’s annual nutrition lecture, and this year the topic was gut bacteria. The nutrition department brought in Dr. Toddy Gray, a public health scientist from the state’s department of health who specialized in microbial genetics. Currently he’s been doing research on gut bacteria and just how important they are even though we might not think about it.
Remember, you are worth more than a number on the scale or how you look. Spread self-acceptance, positivity, and love for our bodies instead of hate! ❤
